Q: How do I become a referee?
A: If you are at least 12 years old, go to the Mass Ref website for details.
Q: Does U8 have an area in front of the goal that players cannot enter?
A: No. MYS no longer uses this area and it has been removed from the field lines.
Q: Are coaches allowed on the field?
A: In general, no. For U8, coaches are allowed on the field for the first 4 games. For U10 City, the coaches are allowed near the goalkeepers for the first 4 games.
Q: When is the next Referee recertification course?
A: You can register for a course on the Mass Ref website.
Q: How can I get additional feedback or mentoring?
A: Contact the referee coordinator and arrangements can be made to have someone monitor a game and provide feedback. |
